* MTSU Grad Silviu Ciulei wins the $8000 FIRST PRIZE 2014. at the Schadt Concerto Competition

* MTSU Grad Silviu Ciulei wins GFA THIRD PRIZE 2012. Also, Silviu won FIRST PRIZE in both the 2012 App State and the 2012 Columbus Guitar Competitions. Second Prize in the 2012 Texas Competition.

* Congrats to MTSU Guitar grad Jimmy Moore who finished his Doctorate at FSU and is now Director of Guitar Studies at Manatee School for the Arts in Bradenton, FL.

* Congrats to MTSU Guitar graduate Silviu Ciulei who won the $1000 Fifth Prize in the Parkening International Guitar Competition at Pepperdine University, May 28-30. The triennial Parkening Competition is the preeminent guitar competition in the world, offering $65,000 in cash prizes. Silviu, age 23, was the only USA college student to win a prize in the 2009 Parkening International Competition.
