Who We Are

The Geospatial Research Center (GRC) is located in the Department of Geosciences at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA. GRC is an interdisciplinary research and educational initiative designed to increase the use and awareness of geospatial information and technology.

Our research interests can be can be categorized into: Multi-Disciplinary Applications of GIScience, Remote Sensing, Integration of Computational Sciences with Geosciences, Watershed Physical Process, and related subjects.

Collaborative Spirit

To archive our goal of promoting research and education in GIS, Remote Sensing, Watershed Modeling, Spatial Analysis, and Computational Sciences, we believe in strong partnership with different departments and institutions. We work with professionals and scientists at local, state and federal level. Examples of partners include the Rutherford County, Tennessee Technological University, Tennessee Historical Commission, University of Tennessee Knoxville, The University of Mississippi, National Sedimentation Laboratory, UNAERP (Brazil), Environmental Protection Agency, National Resources Conservation Service, and many others.
