Junior Preview Show Our annual steer and heifer show is held on the third Saturday in February at the Tennessee Livestock Center on MTSU's campus.  In 2011, we hosted our largest show to date, with more than 140 entries and 60 exhibitors.

Beef Camp We host Beef Camp each year (2nd week in June) which is a 4-day camp that is held on campus at the Tennessee Livestock Center located on campus. It is open for kids in the 4th -12 the grade. Campers have fun learning about animal health, feeding, grooming, show ring ethics, clipping/grooming and showmanship. Some of the activities include a clipping and grooming demonstration, livestock judging contest, skill-a-thon, and speech contest. On Saturday we invite parents to watch their kids in our Beef Camp Showmanship Competition.  Belt buckles are awarded to the top showman in each division.

Little International Every year in the fall we host our very own Little I showmanship competition. Students within the Ag department show all or any combination of beef and dairy cattle, sheep, horses, and pigs. The week leading up to our big show we have several fun events such as a chili cookoff hosted by Sigma Alpha, an Aggie Auction where members of the Block and Bridle Club are auctioned off, and we also have a clipping demonstration.

Concessions We run concessions stands as needed at the TN Livestock Center and Miller Coliseum. We cook it up!

Cattle Sales We have worked several cattle sales that are held at the TN Livestock Center.  Members are in charge of getting cattle to and from the sales ring smoothly. We normally finish off the day with a fun gathering at Las Siestas, a local Mexican restaurant.

Farm Fest Every other year in October we help the Ag department host the farm festival. Elementary kids come from all over the Middle Tennessee area to see farm animals such as dairy cows, beef cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, horses, and are able to participate in other fun activities such as drinking our famous chocolate milk from MTSU's dairy processing facility, face painting, and playing on our great big Case IH tractor.

Livestock Judging Team

The livestock judging team has competes in regional and national contests including Ft. Worth, Dixie National, All East contest, Keystone contest, American Royal, and the North American International Livestock Exposition.  Team members also host regional FFA and 4-H contests for Tennessee youth.

New Member Initiation Each semester we celebrate the joining of our new members. We enjoy a nice dinner and share lots of laughs. Then all the new members receive their B's and are officially initiated.
